Subject: Japanese (or two-byte) fonts on Elonex Onet
Hi

I was trying to display Japanese characters on the Web browser.
Referring to some web sites, I created the directory "TrueType" under
the "/lib/X11/fonts" directory. I copied a truetype font file into the
"TrueType" directory and also created the "fonts.dir" in the same
directory. I am nearly certain that the place I created is right.

However, I have no idea how to get X11 to recognise and use the font.
Many web sites suggest that I should include FontPath in the file "/
etc/X11/XF86Config", but Onet doesn't have such a file. I don't know
how to proceed.

Can any linux expert help? Am I missing something serious to deal with
two-byte characters, not only the fonts?

Best wishes
ykozato
