Good news for our movement

Dunfermline Ask have acknowledged that there is more to the Spiritualist Movement than providing Divine Services and Demonstrations of which we provide at Touch Community Centre, 30 Mercer Place, Dunfermline, We recognise there is a need to demonstrate in other venues around the country to promote our work and the work of spirit.

Following these thoughts the words come to the fore. To have a reaction you first require action, similar to ripples in a pond caused by the cast of a stone.

Recently we conducted a demonstration of clairvoyance at the Perth Concert Hall which was well received by the wonderful people of Tayside. The Medley of Mediums was provided by our own mediums who were Jock Mc Arthur, Jean Bruce, Debbie Young, Kerry McLeod and trainee medium June Stein.

Further to this venue, Dunfermline ASK was contacted by the Religious Education Teacher at Perth High School enquiring if we would be willing to offer a talk about spirit and spiritualism to the pupils in her classes.

We gladly accepted, Kerry McLeod who is one of our mediums and tutor was elected. She provided a 25 minute presentation via Power Point to the pupils followed by a 20 minute session of questions and answers to four separate second year classes on the morning of Tuesday 20th May 2008. The questions as you can imagine coming from teenage pupils were varied, however that offered Kerry the opportunity to answer a little deeper. This was well received by the teachers and the pupils and we look forwards to doing more.

Kerry spoke about the history of spiritualism, energies and did her best to dispel a lot of the myths that have sprung up about our movement especially from the media.

We have already received some feed back from the pupils and are doing our best to help them after all they are our future and are the mediums of tomorrow.

We at Dunfermline ASK are understandably more than happy at being asked into schools to offer an insight into the spiritualist movement and to offer insight into the words of spirit and look forward to being invited to address many more. We feel that this is a step forwards in this new age of awareness.

Yours Sincerely Jock McArthur 22nd May 2008
