I set up this google group as there was obviously a need for one. The National Dormouse Monitoring Programme then set up a google forum 'NDMP forum' and this one was unnecessary, which I'm very pleased about. However if I delete this group, the name 'dormice' is apparently lost for any another google group to use forever.... more »

I am running an Aggregate Levy and Heritage Lottery funded 'Dormouse' project covering two local authorities in England. I have been checking nets boxes and working with volunteers to put up dormouse survey tubes. In 2006 we put up 1,300 tubes but found no dormice. We have found 2 new records through hazel nut hunts.... more »
