Dear All,

I've recently sent an email to Northern Rail and Cheshire East/
Congleton Council (see below) about the lack of cycling facilities at
Congleton Station.

I was unaware of your acitivities until I read about your station
surveys online. I would be very interested in joining a campaign for a

Congleton Cycling Campaign received the following letter from a local
cyclist.

Dear All

I was a biker in my younger days, which started just after the
war,in1946
as I left school,and I lived in Crewe. I am now 77 years old,and I
live
in Sandbach.

I started biking because cars were not known, and everbody biked, and it

This is a great site! Well done.

Does anyone have accommodation recommendations for route 70? I'd like
to split the 173 miles over two to three days. Not picky about the
type of accommodation (independent b&b or hotel chain), as long as
it's near a few pubs (especially real ale pubs!)

You may have noticed nice little blue signs around town with '73' and
a bicycle printed on them. You may also have wondered 'what is 73' and
where does it go.

We are advised by Cheshire County Council that Regional Cycle Route 73
runs from Davenham, near Northwich to Congleton.
