I also remember a strange interrupt driven  routine for the 128k that made
the sound more like the bbc from basic so things could be played in the
background etc.
I wish now that I'd kept hold of all those weird bits and pieces we used to
put up on Micronet telesoftware.

There were some gems in amongst the rubbish.
Weird bunch, we seemed to get more downloads of what we called Naffsoft than
the good bits!

I'm pretty sure I've seen that beebulator, or something similar. I
probably still have a copy somewhere. I'll have a look for it.
Spotlight's pretty good for that sort of thing.
