Networking with LanMan & W7

Just upgraded my Kinetic to latest LanMan which allows drag & drop from an XP machine but only allows me to drag & drop from my Windows 7 not to it. I have set numerous shares & permissions in the 7 machine. I can of course move files from the Kinetic through the XP to W7 but its not really satisfactory.... more »

Hi, I find it strange that the HP t5325 thin client (Mentioned at riscosinfo) only has 10/100 networking, when all the Marvell products have 1 Gbit ethernet. The OpenRD client looks better in that respect. Anyway more to the point, I recall Druck I think, stating the speed limitations of the Iyonix.... more »

My ISP has kindly furnished me with a fixed IP address. My Iyonix on my network is running WebJames to serve a local network index page. What do I need to do to get this to be seen from the fixed IP address? Obviously I don't know what I'm doing, so be gentle. John

Can any kind soul tell me how to FTP to my new LinuxMint-7 machine using FTPc? I FTP to my MacMini okay using the format: name="Mac Desktop" value="[link]" What format should it be to get into the Linux? and does there need to be some setting made on the Linux to allow my accessing it?... more »

Best way to print to Canon Printer on a Mac?

Hi there I have a Mac mini with OS X 10.6.1, to which is connected a Canon PIXMA IP4600 printer. I also have a StrongARM RISCPC, RO 4.37. They are connected via a wireless network. What is the best (and cheapest) way to print from the RISCPC to the Canon Printer? Getting USB for the RISC PC os not an option, its too... more »
