I presume you did generate an image rather than trying to burn "on the
fly"?

Yes, ISO image is 702Mb. I did a simulated write successfully, but it
will not write to disc.It gets to about 5% then gives the buffer
warning.

I always used to write at 4x with consistently good results so I wonder if
the problem is actually the burner itself.

Maybe it won't fit onto a 700MB CD.

     That did occur to me,twit, me not you.But having tried again
     with a file of 140MB same thing happens. Now I'm getting a
     message saying illegal device,switch it off and on again?

I'm currently going back to the beginning and re- configuring the
CDburn.

Re-configured. No,still no good,unless I have got wrong settings. I
think I will get a different disc tomorrow and try that. Perhaps we
could compare settings?

Of course I could be completely up a gum tree with these settings
having tried to remember what were the original.
