How to change VRAM?
|
| |
Hello! I have a Risc PC 600 with 1 MB VRAM. I want to change it with a 2 MB VRAM Module. But I don't know how to remove the module because there is a strange white lock bar: [link] I have tried pull the bar to top but it is _unmovable_. I don't think I need violence to move it because the mainboard could break.... more »

I have two HDs and two CDs - one a writer. Does it matter how they are arranged on the Unipod? Ie both HDs on one circuit or share each with a CD? And which should be master or slave?

Various Acorn Bits to get rid of.

WTB BBC B+ mainboard and PSU
|
| |
I'm looking to recase a B+ into a rack mount style case, and rather than break up my B+ wondered if anyone had a spare working B+ board and PSU? The PSU may not be essential as I can probably use the PC power supply with suitable mods. Thanks!

AKF60 monitor - no Acorn modes
|
| |
The AKF60 monitor on my A5000 has been standing unused for a while. When I turned it on, it wouldn't show any of the Acorn modes (12 etc), Fliptop (colour card app) shows lots of yellow modes, but that's it. Is this likely to be fixable, or should I look for a replacement? Joyce.

Filecore problem?
|
| |
For some time I've been having occasional crashes when loading Newshound. Completely locks up the machine requiring a hard reset. Today it seems to be permanent. Running !Sick gets to doing the file core checks then also crashes. If I boot just to the desktop and run it again, it shows everything ok.... more »

StrongArm processor
|
| |
I've just upgraded a RISC OS 3.6 RISC PC with my old RISC OS 3.7 chips. I believe it's meant to have a StrongArm processor. I've got two old processor chips, but I don't think either is a StrongArm, as I think I left the StrongArm processor in the computer when I upgraded my own machine to 4.02. Can anyone confirm that this is what happened, or were we given a new... more »

Formatting 160G drive to 120G
|
| |
Hi, How do I format a 160GByte drive to only be recognised as 120Gbyte capacity? This is to be used in an an Iyonix so I don't want to go over 120G size to keep the transfer speeds high. Thanks.
