The AKF60 monitor on my A5000 has been standing unused for a while. When I turned it on, it wouldn't show any of the Acorn modes (12 etc), Fliptop (colour card app) shows lots of yellow modes, but that's it.
Is this likely to be fixable, or should I look for a replacement?
Joyce.

The AKF60 is a VGA monitor so it can't do modes like 12 and 15 which are 15.25 KHz (TV frequency) modes. Ig you really must have these modes you need something like an AKF50 or AKF18.

Oh! I must have swapped monitors over at some forgotten stage. Thanks!

I've heard about those :-(
In fact I think we used to have one. But now I'm looking for an AKF50, since mine has disappeared (the pooka must have eaten it).

Were they made by Philips? Suffered from dry joints round the LOPT. Philips must have got a job lot of cheap solder.

No, AKF18s were made by Lite-On.
