Help identify this game (BBC Micro)

I have a vague recollection of playing a two-player game on the Beeb more than 20 years ago. One player was a priest, the other was a vampire. The play area was a graveyard and the aim was to change the graves to your own colour (white or black accordingly). I think there might have been day and night phases where you could attack the other... more »

New version of Star Fighter 3000 editing utilities
|
| |
Hello, Just a minor announcement that I have released updated versions of my suite of Star Fighter 3000 game editor utilities. 'FednetCmp' handles files compressed with an algorithm used in old Fourth Dimension and Fednet games such as 'Chocks Away', 'Stunt Racer 2000' and 'Star Fighter 3000'. Game files may be decompressed and... more »

New version of Star Fighter 3000 (release 3.09)
|
| |
I recently released a free upgrade patch for the original RISC OS version of the game 'Star Fighter 3000', which can be downloaded from the usual place: [link] 'Star Fighter 3000' is a futuristic combat-dedicated flight action shooter rather than a realistic flight simulator, which places it in... more »

Retro Gamer 65
|
| |
In the shops today is the new Retro Gamer which does indeed feature a retro-inspection of the Acorn Archimedes, a good article, although odd that the Iyonix isn't mentioned even though the A9 home is. Quite a number of games mentioned or screen shots shown, like Ibix The Viking and Bug Hunter in space. Well worth a read.... more »

If there is a more place to ask this than these newsgroups, please let... more »

Star Fighter 3000 music converted to Amiga ProTracker format
|
| |
Hi, To amuse myself during a week between moving house and waiting for the bulk of my possessions to be delivered, I wrote a fun little program to convert Star Fighter 3000 music to the ubiquitous Amiga ProTracker format. I think that it does a pretty good job, but there are plenty of options to play around with so that you can 'roll your own'.... more »

Getting EGO:Repton 4 running
|
| |
Hi, I'm trying to get EGO:Repton 4 running on Red Squirrel. I've got an ADF file image, and am trying to run it from there. I try RISC OS 3.11 with 8MB RAM and whenever I click on the floppy icon RS hangs. If I try RISC OS 3.5 or RISC OS 4, the floppy image comes up, but when I run !Repton4, RISC OS hangs on the loading screen.... more »

Trying to download these old add on levels for RepInfinity: [link] Apparently they should work. Is there any reason why they don't on Netsurf? Andrew
