Zarch for the Archimedes

So I've setup an Archimedes A5000 for the express purpose of playing
Zarch. But I can't find Zarch.
Is there a place I can get the image (has it been released freely?) or
a place I can buy the floppy? Thanks. (I do have Lander.)

Thanks to the assistance and encouragement of Jeffrey Lee, the latest
release of venerable RISC OS flight action shooter 'Star Fighter 3000'
is believed to be compatible with RISC OS on BeagleBoard. As with
other software, this meant tracking down and eliminating unaligned
memory accesses.
You can download a patch to upgrade your copy of the game to version

Can anyone recommend a MineSweeper game for RISC OS that has sound?
I've tried these;
Automine (By Musus Umbra)
Minesweep (By Michael Borcherds)
Minen (By Weiss Nuklaus)
None of these have sound, it's just my 3 year old son loves playing
MineSweep on Windows, and complains that the versions on my RPC don't

Apart from the BBC and Electron releases, what other machines did Superior
release Repton, Repton 2 and Repton 3 for?
I know that there is a Repton for the Sinclair, and I heard about an Amstrad
version of Repton 3 but I can't find much more info.

Hi All,
I'm using my A5000 with a Samsung Syncmaster 152v TFT monitor.
However, during full screen games, the picture is "letterboxed"

In the shops today is the new Retro Gamer which does indeed feature a
retro-inspection of the Acorn Archimedes, a good article, although odd
that the Iyonix isn't mentioned even though the A9 home is.
Quite a number of games mentioned or screen shots shown, like Ibix The

To amuse myself during a week between moving house and waiting for the
bulk of my possessions to be delivered, I wrote a fun little program
to convert Star Fighter 3000 music to the ubiquitous Amiga ProTracker

I'm trying to get EGO:Repton 4 running on Red Squirrel.
I've got an ADF file image, and am trying to run it from there. I try RISC
OS 3.11 with 8MB RAM and whenever I click on the floppy icon RS hangs. If I
try RISC OS 3.5 or RISC OS 4, the floppy image comes up, but when I run
!Repton4, RISC OS hangs on the loading screen.
