Subject: A monitor MDF question.
I use my workshop RPC mainly for electronic circuit diagrams. And because
of the nature of these a widescreen monitor would be more suitable. I'd
bought an el cheapo 19" Viewsonic VS10866 from CPC for other things so
decided to try that out.

Its spec is 30-62kHz and 50-85 Hz. Recommended resolution 1440 x900 @
60Hz. But supports most of the other common modes.

Using Makemodes, I've produced an '800 x 600' with borders which is my
preferred size for print etc, and it looks fine, but my two efforts at
widescreen mode of 960 x 600 @ 84Hz and 1024 x 576 @ 62Hz have horrible
text - all jagged edges.

I'll bet I'm making some fundamental mistake...

So needs to be 896 or 904 instead of 900 - which isn't divisible by 8!

MDF sent by e-mail.
