The Wakefield Show is next Saturday, 19th May 2007 between 10:30 am
and 5 pm, at its new venue. The Mill House & Frobisher Suite, Stanley
Ferry Marina, Wakefield.
We now have 24 exhibitors attending this years event. A full list is

In addition we understand that new products from Liquid Silicon will
also be available as they will be represented by another exhibitor.
In keeping with it being the 25 years of Acorn, we have JGH BBC
Software and Joel's 8-Bit Emporium..
The Charity stall will once again be raising money for Wakefield
Hospice, we can accept a limited number of RiscPC's and A7000's at the
charity stall this year thanks to an arrangement with one of the
exhibitors to assist with any left over at the end of the day - see
the website for more details.
We can look forward to a number of new launches from people like M W
Software, R-Comp etc.. The Wakefield Club will also have an offer for
new members at the show as we get ready to celebrate 25 years of the
club's existance. Ensure you visit the club stand.
You can get to the show by road, rail, plane and even canal. You could
even cycle there!
The venue will be AA Sign posted from the two main routes to the
venue, we suggest if coming via car, that if possible you come via Jct
30 of the M62 or Jct 41 of the M1.
For those coming by Train we are providing a regular mini-bus service
operating from Wakefield Westgate station (approx every 30 mins) from
9:45 am and then 10 pm till about 2 pm (we have two mini-buses during
this time) and then at 45 min intervals approximately from 2 pm till
just after close at 5 pm. The mini-bus will bring you right up to the
entrance to the show.
If you come via Wakefield Kirkgate Station or via coach then you can
catch the new local free shuttle bus service operating round the city
between the bus station and railway stations every 10 mins.
If coming by plane, the nearest airports are; Leeds/Bradford
International, Robin Hood at Doncaster and Manchester.
If coming by canal you can moor beside the venue.
Due to some Car parking issues at the venue, we have decided to hire
the use of the local council football field as a large car parking
area. there will be signs pointing you to this on Ferry Lane, its
about 1 min walk from the venue itself. Disabled visitors will be able
to park at the venue itself.
The venue is all on one level and their is disabled access and toilets
available.
Catering will be provided by the owners of the venue and available
from 9:30 am in the main Bar/Restaurant. Up to noon this will be a
more limited service of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches (including
hopefully bacon sandwiches). From Noon the main Restaurant opens a
full catering service is available till late evening.
Entrance to the show costs £4 at the door (sorry no credit/debit
cards).
So don't miss the main show of the year on the 19th May.
