This is just a quick note to say that I fixed a bug in SuperFPEm
that caused it to crash computers running Moredesk.
It can now be downloaded from: http://cogs.drobe.co.uk/
There are two archives there: a standard version (RISC OS 4 or
above, ideally) and one with special XScale optimisations for the
Iyonix. The latter has not been tested since changes were made.
However, if it doesn't work, the standard version should also work
on Iyonix. It has not been tested on the A9 yet - feedback in that
regard would be appreciated.
SuperFPEm is a module that speeds up floating point maths
on RISC OS machines without a hardware floating point unit. It
works in tandem with the FPEmulator module. Speed increases are
modest and only benefit software that makes heavy use of floating
point processor instructions.
There is further information in a text file in the archive.
