Subject: Snapper - new release
I am pleased to announce that version 1.10 of Snapper is now
available.

Snapper is a versatile screen capture program. It allows you to save a
specified area of the screen as a sprite. The modes of operation of
Snapper are

1. Save the entire screen area

2. Save the complete window under the mouse pointer

3. Save the _contents_ of the window under the mouse,
without any of the window furniture

4. Save the area inside a user definable box, the size and position of
which can be adjusted

Snapper was originally written by David Pilling, and supplied as a
component of his scanning and image processing software suite. With
the full agreement and cooperation of David, Chris Johnson has taken
on the maintenance and development of Snapper, and the latest version
is now freely available to all. Any correspondence about Snapper now
should be directed to Chris Johnson.

New to this version are additions to mode 4 above, including more
precise methods for defining the size and position of the save area
(dialogue box) and a continuous display of the size and position of
the save area. This version also includes an updated manual in HTML
format.

Version 1.10 of Snapper can be downloaded from
  http://www.chrisjohnson.plus.com/software/snap.html
or
  http://www.chris-johnson.org.uk/software/snap.html

These are independent sites, so one should always be available! Note
the absence or presence of the hyphen if entering the url by hand.
