In ten words or less (to save you labour here), what makes css box positioning
differ among these browsers?
( I have a table-layout page being converted to css by this beginner and it
looks great in the MSIE7 editing monitor but some of the box positions
are an inch or so wrong in Firefox.)

Stupid question, I know how to add a background image to a
webpage...but isn't there a way to make it so that it doesn't move off
the screen as you scroll? I thought there was....but don't what it's
even called.

That much is correct for CSS2. Unfortunately so, I may add. A grouping
operator introduced by CSS3 definitely would come in handy.
This gibberish borders to nonsense, if that. CSS is a (formatting)
language. Like any other language, it does not know anything. *People* can

Only IE was the problem recently and now with IE8 you can use counters.
Either way is does degrade gracfully.
