On Sunday in Grouville Bay a young Grey Seal pup of less than a week old was found and photographed and sent by aircraft to the GSPCA in Guernsey.

Bahamas Declares New Land and Sea Parks

I am a member of a discussion group on Med Gulls and this message I thought may interest locals interested
in birding with a reasonably priced telescope from China with the 30 times magnification eyepiece when available!

Commercial crab and lobster fisherman Clive Brown found what looked like a block of wood covered in goose barnacles floating off Guernsey's south coast today. Ringed Alderney Gannet just found opposite us in Normandy at an old age!

Hi there,
A 17 year old Gannet was just found off Cosqueville ( Manche ) on 9th August 2009 by a fisherman dead off the French coast opposite us. It was ringed on 19th June 1993 on the Etacs off Alderney. In Jersey now two Red-breasted Geese with the feral geese behind St Ouens Pond I wondered if they are wild! If they are they are a first record for our islands.In Guernsey a Red-throated Pipit and in Jersey still lots of birds lingering like Sandwich Terns in Grouville Bay due to mild weather!Ce que j'aime de Jersey je vais vous dire..... j'en aime le tout! A recreational angler caught a 59 lb exactly (26.76 kgs.) female stingray, Dasyatis pastinaca, in shallow water near Vermerette off Herm's west coast (about 400 yards from Herm harbour) just before low water on the afternoon of Sunday 18 October.
