This weekend's walk saw 17 of us explore the Langdale Valley, one of
the most beautiful areas of the Lake District. Starting from Dungeon
Ghyll via The Band, our route to Bow Fell included the Climbers
Traverse and a brief scramble up the Great Slab. From the summit, we
followed the path across the Crinkle Crags (a few opting to negotiate
'Bad Step') finally descending from Red Tarn back to the valley for a
bit of feet cooling in Oxendale Beck before a drink in the Old DG.
