Subject: Walk checkers wanted
Hi everyone. I've been commissioned to write a book of walks in
Cheshire and I need people to help me by following my route
descriptions and maps and letting me know if anything's wrong or
unclear. Each walk is between 7 and 12 miles long and features at
least one decent pub. In return you get your name in the book, and a
cheap copy (if you want one) when it's published. Drop me a line at
dave.dunf...@birdguides.com for more information if you'd be
interested.

Morning all

Thanks to those that responded to my earlier plea for help with my
forthcoming book "Adventurous Pub Walks in Cheshire". The manuscript is now
with the publishers being edited and then typeset, but's there's still time
to help me make the book as clear and accurate as possible by walking one of
my routes and checking my maps and directions; I can still make important
changes at this stage if necessary.

If you're interested in trying out a walk, the full list of walks is as
follows; as-yet-unchecked routes are marked with an asterisk, and those are
the ones I'm particularly interested in having reviewed:

    1.  Northwest Wirral and Hilbre Island, 12.75 miles*
    2.  Parkgate and Little Neston, 10.5 miles*
    3.  Helsby and Frodsham Hills, 7 miles
    4.  Spike Island, Wigg Island and Runcorn, 7.5 miles*
    5.  Appleton and Grappenhall, 8.25 miles
    6.  Anderton Boat Lift, River Weaver and Northwich Community Woodlands,
11.5 miles*
    7.  Delamere Forest, 7.25 miles*
    8.  Eaton and Little Budworth, 8 miles*
    9.  Brindley, Haughton Moss and Faddiley, 7 miles
    10. Beeston Castle, Burwardsley and Raw Head 12 miles*
    11. Farndon, Aldford and the River Dee, 11.25 miles*
    12. Malpas, Overton Scar and Shocklach, 9.25 miles
    13. Marbury Mere and Old St Chad's, 9 miles
    14. Wybunbury and Blakenhall, 13.25 miles*
    15. Weston, Barthomley and Englesea Brook, 7.5 miles*
    16. Congleton, Mow Cop and Astbury Mere, 10.25 miles
    17. The Dane valley from Holmes Chapel to Swettenham, 7.5 miles
    18. Nether Alderley, Hare Hill and Alderley Edge, 8.5 miles*
    19. Windgather Rocks, Kettleshulme and Shining Tor, 8.75 miles
    20. Lyme Park and Higher Poynton, 8 miles

Drop me a line at dave.dunf...@birdguides.com if you'd like a route
description and map. I assume no obligation at all and I won't nag if you
take a route and I don't hear back from you in time, but if you do one and
get your feedback to me by the end of the year you'll get your name in
print, qualify for a copy at my author's discount, and earn my genuine
gratitude.

Cheers, and good walking

Dave Dunford
