>From the Cambridgeshire Fens---We are very happy that this new

organisation is up and running, and that so many people are committed
to their own community hospitals.  I must say that when I and Reg Wenn
visited Westminster on Tuesday we found it not to be a wheelchair
friendly place, which is ironic considering all the wheelchair-friendly
legislation pouring from it's portals.

This morning we have learnt that our PCT is closing yet more Mental
Health beds to save a bit of money.  However the PCT's Director of
Childrens Service, Director of Commissioning and Modernisation,
Information Governance Manager, Teenage Pregnancy Coordinator
(interesting job title)  Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator, Healthy
Lifestyes Administrator,  Health Development Specialist etc etc. etc.
still all enjoy good salaries, splendid pension scheme and are
obviously far more important that mentaly ill patients.

William Hill Coordinator Independant Patient Public Involvement Forum
(IPPI)  Save Doddington Hospital.
