Is it not the case that the main reason Wrexham can not reach the WHQS
is because a third of rent receipts have to be paid back to
Westminster in the so called “housing subsidy” which is an
approximation of the amount the government has paid out in housing
benefit.
Would it not be a better use of the tenants empowerment grant to set
up a class action for council tenants to take the UK government to the
European courts to get this money back?
It is my understanding that under European law governments are not
allowed to interfere in markets giving one company an advantage over
another. I believe that this arrangement clearly conflicts with this
principle.
mozz, funny you should say about advantages,i have been looking at this
one very closeley for a number of weeks,i feel the uk are in fact in
breach of law,i have allready filled a petition on 18/12/2007 with the
E/U with regards to the standards which some people have to live
in,totall disregard to health, well being,i will not go into it in
great lengh at the moment.

Nice to see someone new on the sight, interesting thought and
something that I would like to see done. I would be interested in the
opinion of others, unfortunatly there appears to be a lack of resonse
though, nice to see someone else enter in to the debate though.
