Subject: Sussex Partnership...
Guys,

Ok, firstly my apologies (there goes the first rule of letter-
writing...) - I normally hate the kind of blanket e-mailing that i've
just enforced upon you, but it's for a good cause and it's the first
time i've written one in 22 years, so please bear with me just a few
seconds more...

Sussex Partnership is the local NHS mental health service covering
all of Sussex, based in Worthing. Currently they're campaigning to
become a foundation trust, meaning they'll be able to self-govern and
tailor their care to the people of Sussex, not be governed to on a
national scale. To get it, they go through a consultation process
which aims to consult the local populus in order to their gauge
support and figure out just how to tailor their services. To do this,
they need as many people to be signed up as possible, with the only
requirement being over 14yrs and having an address in Sussex - that's
you lot...

It's online (see link below), free and will actually not take up any
of your time if you so wish. You'll be sent one letter asking if you
wish to attend a meeting with a view to becoming a governor and that's
it (I know - I am one) - just being a silent member will help alone.
Doing this means we'll get better healthcare (1 in 4 suffer some form
of mental illness in their lifetime) and you get karma, something
fantastic to put on a CV and you'll be owed a favour by me! Afraid
that's as good as it gets from a pennyless student...

If you've gotten this far, one last thing - as you fill it out,
please make sure say you heard about all this through a member of
staff and in the their name part, put Helen Greatorex. She's the one
who put me onto this and so deserves all the credit, not me - that
bit's rather important...

Cheers guys - you're doing me a great favour. Feel free to forward
this to anyone you think might be interested.

                Steve.
