I'm really only looking at public libraries and although it pains me

There is Library Web, [link] - but that is for
public libraries mainly. Also a news ticker site rather than a
newsletter.

Joining CILIP (if not already) would probably be the best.

Hello!
I'm a new member. I'm working towards my MA in Librarianship after
spending 3 years as a library assistant in the National Railway
Museum's library and archives. Although that was great fun, my heart
lies with public libraries and I've always been more of a generalist
(which I think is a nice way of saying Jack of all trades).

Apropos nothing at all really - but today is the 5th anniversary that
I've been blogging. I did some sums and have posted over 2,700
entries, which is about 2 per working day. That includes the old
Blogger blog that I hosted on my own site, and my two Typepad blogs.

Have we got any other claims to longevity?
