Also, my Mother's maiden name is Watts and that works fine as my
internet banking password. So maybe try 'Watts' instead.

to get to your router settings when plugged into the wired network go to:

username: Administrator
default password: the serial number on the back of your router
then you should be able to change your wireless settings from there

maybe you have specified it as a WEP key and it should be specified as a WPA
key (or even the other way round - sometimes there is a drop down or radio
button to say which type of key you are entering) try it other way round
from whatever you are doing now

OK, which number on the botttom of the BeBox, tried the Modem Access

if you have a Mac, open the KeyChain utility and search for the SSID of
the wi-fi network
when you find you can ask the app to reveal the password to you (if you
have admin rights on the Mac)
Also, BT routers have the defaukt Keys printed on the bottom of the box
case (unless you altered a key yourself)

You might need to tell it that it's a 64 bit (10 character) password rather
than a 128 bit one (or vice versa).

I'm connected through a Mac but via ethernet - I've never needed to use
wifi until now.

Check the bottom of your BeBox the password should be on there. Also make
sure to type it in with upper and lower case letters, this tripped me up
when I tried to set up wifi on my iphone.

If you're connected to your wifi with a mac, you can open the Keychain
manager, find the network, right click and choose 'Copy password to
clipboard'.

You probably all think I'm a complete moron for asking this but I just
got an iPod Touch and I'm trying to connect to my wifi but I don't know
the password. I've tried inputting the WPA Encryption Key but that's not
working. What am I missing? Don't want to call BE's tech support as
they're having a service outage today.
