I have scanned both DVLA and VOSA sites on this matter and found plenty on new parts vehicles and repaired vehicles but could not find anything definitive about kit cars made from second hand components i.e.donor parts. The item on how to register your car still refers to the SVA test and as far as I can make out states incorrect fees.

In consequence, I have removed the rivet from the hinged section, slotted the top of the upright, tapped the other frames for M8 and can now remove the Z plate with the side screens. This opens up a number of possibilities and, before I finalise the design, I would welcome comments from those who have been this route before.

Hello, please excuse me if you've had this e-mail previously - I am not sure if it ever got delivered to the group the first time round.
Am trying to trace a company in Fleetwood, Lancashire who custom build stainless steel exhaust pipes. Have tried the internet and Autotrader but cannot find any details at all - has anyone used a company in that area who could assist with some info? Or do you know of anywhere in the Lancashire area that you could recommend? One of the tail pipes on my LWB needs replacing before the wedding season starts again.

Today saw the design and manufacture of a gear lever gaiter.
The gear lever has been extended by a factor of three to get a comfortable height, including raising the reverse lift ring for the MT75 gearbox. I have reduced the fore and aft movement on the gear change to stop the extended lever hitting either the centre console or the seats. It does mean that the "gate" is very wide so in the future I need to remove the gearbox to raise the pivot point and include a slider to reduce the sideways movement. Something for the longer term me thinks.

 Tony,
Thank you - A very useful list!
I had not known about the door handles. That could cause a problem! Am I understanding you correctly when you say "lever" rather than "twist"? David Young said just turn the twist handles round so that they face backwards and they should pass, although I am worried about some of the radii on the handles provided.

I personally found them very reasonable when they tested my Quantum in 98/99 but that was a long time ago. The guy who did mine moved on to take over the running of a new test station.
