Am" slips back to number 2 this week. Replacing Vanessa at the
top is the Black Eyed Peas with "Meet Me Halfway" - their third
single in a row from their double-platinum selling "The END"
album to reach number one this year.
Four singles enter the top 10 for the first time this week, sending
four hits out - Pitbull's "I Know You Want Me", Black Eyed Peas
with "I Gotta Feeling" and big 10 spot drops by Cascada's
"Evacuate The Dancefloor" and Robbie Williams' "Bodies".
Bulleting up 24 spots from its number 28 debut last week is
Kesha's "Tik Tok", now a number 4 hit. La Roux's recent Australian
tour has paid off with "Bulletproof" climbing from number 11 to
5 this week. The Glee Cast have another top 10 hit as "Halo /
Walking On Sunshine" bullets 30 spots to number 10, while their
latest single, "It's My Life / Confessions Part II", which
debuted at number 43 last week, climbs to number 22 this week.

the top 10.

28 year-old British singer, song-writer and rapper Jay Sean
has been making waves on the UK charts since 2003 and has
enjoyed several top 10 hits over there. However, his big
international breakthrough has come thanks to his collaboration
with Lil Wayne on "Down", the first single lifted off his
"All Or Nothing" album. "Down" is Jay Sean's first charting
single in Australia, debuting at number 9. It has already
topped the US Billboard charts and debuted at number 3 in
the UK this week.
16. BAD ROMANCE - Lady GaGa
CD single: (not released yet)
Digital track: #14
Song lyrics: www.tinyurl.com/ycnabm5
Artist website: www.ladygaga.com
Repackaging old albums with bonus tracks to encourage more
sales has been a popular marketing activity lately when you
look at recent album releases by The Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna,
Chris Brown, Maroon 5 and Kelly Rowland. American recording
artist Lady GaGa is the latest act to try this as her
triple-platinum selling "The Fame" album is being re-released
as "The Fame Monster". The repackaged album contains 8 new
tracks, which makes you wonder why she didn't just add a couple
more and then have a whole brand new album ready for release in
time for Christmas! "Bad Romance" is one of those 8 new
tracks which becomes the album's 6th single, and it debuts
at number 16 this week.
27. HOTEL ROOM SERVICE - Pitbull
CD single: #25
Digital track: #35
Music video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gU8eevSbL_U
Song lyrics: www.tinyurl.com/ygy3u9o
Artist website: www.pitbullmusic.com
American rapper Pitbull recently enjoyed a number 6 hit with
"I Know You Want Me", lifted off his "Rebelution" album.
Next single is "Hotel Room Service" which samples "Push the
Feeling On" by British house music outfit Nightcrawlers.
"Hotel Room Service" rebuts at number 27 and has already gone
top 10 in both the US and UK.
34. ART OF LOVE - Guy Sebastian featuring Jordin Sparks
CD single: (not released yet)
Digital track: #32
Song lyrics: www.tinyurl.com/yzs98aq

www.jordinsparks.com
Australian Idol's first winner back in 2003, Guy Sebastian,
enjoyed a comeback recently as "Like It Like That" became his
first number one hit in almost 5 years. His 5th studio album,
also titled "Like It Like That", debuts at number 6 on this
week's album chart. Second single off the album is a duet
with Jordin Sparks titled "Art of Love" - an appropriate duet
given that Jordin is also an Idol winner, but from the American
series in 2007. "Art of Love" debuts at number 34 and is his
first charting duet. For Jordin, she released a duet last
year with Chris Brown, titled "No Air", which spent 4 weeks
at number one.
50. NEW MOON RISING - Wolfmother
CD single: (not released yet)
Digital track: (not in top 40)
Music video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=74ouG1EHksQ
Song lyrics: www.tinyurl.com/yk6crc6

Final new entry of the week comes from Sydney rock band
Wolfmother. The group's self-titled album, released in
2005, sold an incredible 5-times platinum and spawned a
bunch of hits including "Joker & The Thief" which went
all the way to number 8. The group's new album is "Cosmic
Egg" which debuts at number 3 on this week's albums chart.
The album's first single, "Back Round", was available as
a free digital download from their website, and later
as a promotional digital single on iTunes. The first
officially released single from "Cosmic Egg" is "New Moon
Rising" which debuts at number 50 this week.
