Subject: Focusing on target groups
Dear member of the list,

as you may know I am collecting all information about books,
DVDs, CD, video and music cassettes related to the Alexander
Technique.

A lot of people interested in specific information are asking
questions like

Do you know books about AT for .... and tell their profession.

In deed there are a lot of titles dealing with certain roles
you play, a profession or a specific sportive activity.

Of course I know that AT is a very general approach of increasing
body awareness, it is a re-education of our kinesthetic sense
rather independent from a specific profession but I think it is
important to use the language of the people you would like to
talk to.

I would like to encourage AT teachers all over the world to
write about their experience with the specialists they gave
lessons.

Also I would like to ask these specialists - your pupils or
clients to write down their "professional reason" to take
lessons.

Collecting all the wording from all over the world it will be
a very interesting task to sort and discuss the input. It
might reasonable to have a meeting for interested AT teachers
before an AT congress.

I am pretty sure the summary will become a very helpful paper
for AT teachers and if possible the start of another target
group oriented books based on the Alexander Technique.

What do you thin k about this experiment?

Kind regards

Peter
