Subject: High hits from mysterious source - kintiskton
I have a blog on blogspot [ djysrv.blogspot.com ].  This morning I
recorded a record high number of hits via Google Analytics from a
mysterious network location. According to the Google Analytics report,
it read a record number of blog pages spending an average of over 3
min per page.

I am concerned that a high number of hits from a possibly automated
and bogus entity will create problems with my Google Analytics reports
and possibly also with AdSense.

When I tried to run the Network location to ground, I found nothing of
any substance, but I also found a number of inquiries via a Google
search of similar nature.

A check with the California Secretary of State turned up zero results
for the company name and similarly zero results for a search in the
records of the Nevada Secretary of State.  These null results suggest
that while the firm is doing business in California, it is not a
registered business entity there.

There is no Yellow Pages listing for the firm.  A search in PIPL
turned up lcoations all over the U.S. with a series of repeats at: PO
Box 7360, Mountain View, CA 94037-7360

http://pipl.com/search/?FirstName=&LastName=Kintiskton&City=&State=&C...

Here is what I have found from various sources

Kintiskton LLC, Campbell, California, United States
Kintiskton LLC 65.208.151.112 - 65.208.151.119
IP Address 65.208.151.118
Host 65.208.151.118
Location:  US, United States
City: Montara, CA 94037
Organization: Kintiskton LLC
ISP Verizon Business

Anyone got any ideas who these people are and what they are doing?
Even more to the point how do I stop them from screwing up my Google
Analytics reports?

Hi,

If you're sure of the IP address, you can filter the visits from the
IP address/addresses using the IP filter. Instructions on creating the
IP filter can be found here: http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55572.
