G'day folks. today I had a phone call inviting me to my first radiation appointment this coming Tuesday. I will be gone for a month. I have copied down dozens of email addresses but it only requires one dot where a hyphen should be to ruin that.
Write to me if you like. I will try to write back but the computer in the hospital was out of date five years ago. So don't get too hopeful or feel disappointed if I don't reply. I will be depending on others to take me to the hospital. It might not be convenient for them to wait around.
have fun and respect one another while I am away.

Wishing the best outcome for you Quentin, take care. We'll miss you.
Quentin, are you going to be an outpatient. I dont know where you are having the radiation on your body, but I remember it. I can only tell you from my experience that except for the tiredness it wasnt terrible for me. I had it every day for seven weeks. To prevent burning of the skin, I used real aloe vera every single day and my skin was fine.

Hi Loretta,
In effect I will be an outpatient staying at the Brightwater home for the elderly.

It is on my skull where I have had an aggressive squamous cancer removed.

Thank you for this reassurance

The hugs are much appreciated. I will try to get some messages out from the hospital computer. It takes a caregiver who is willing to wait around while I play with the old machine.

I'll remember that.

That's a positive way to look at it. Thanks Wendy.

So do I.

Quentin, I wish you the very best success for your treatment and am glad that at least you won't have to undergo any more surgery. I also hope that the radiation won't cause you any pain.
I've been thinking about you off and on during the past two weeks hoping that you already had half of your treatment behind you. Instead, you still have the full month ahead of you. But I hope that time will fly for you -- and for us, too, to have you back in our midst. You'll be missed and thought about a lot.

Hi Nixi, At least there won't be any more surgery though that was a breeze.

It shouldn't be a problem. I am told I wont feel a thing.

Quentin, dont forget the aloe vera. If you can get it from the plant, it is better than store bought, but either way will serve the purpose of your head not burning
