True the warranty sucks but the nature of watches (as many other devices) is
that a defect in assembly will be apparent very soon after receipt - if the
watch is running well after 3 months, chances are very good it will be
running well after 3 years unless you cause damage in which case warranty
does not apply anyway. Many credit cards will double the warranty.  $120
(difference between $180 and reg. price of $300 w/ 1 yr warranty) is a lot
to pay for a 9 month warranty extension.
