That's amongst the very little which I do know about mechanical watches. I
should have indicated losing time after repeated attempts at regulation, the
regulation itself of course eating up the warranty period. I've owned at
least one watch that started losing time despite regulation and which even
the manufacturer couldn't fix and decided to replace with yet another lousy
watch, the same model (from Schaffhausen). The 3rd one which I now own
doesn't keep a charge and I just don't give a damn any longer since life is
too short). Another time losing watch from a different Swiss outfit was
returned to the store from which it was purchased for a credit towards
another watch. I'm writing about $3000+ watches, which the store verified as
being unacceptable, with no need to go to a credit card for assistance.
Considering the low cost of the item in question if there is any problem
after 90 days, it would be best to throw it out rather than repair it, or
offer it free for the asking right here at alt.horology (as I once did
myself). But better yet would be never buying a *mechanical* watch with a 90
day warranty since it could easily produce a cheap headache (which is still
better than an expensive headache).
