  Why not use common sense. Turn off half the breakers and see if the &lt;br&gt; old doorbell still works. If it does not, then replace it and turn &lt;br&gt; those breakers on. If the doorbell still works, turn those 1/2 &lt;br&gt; breakers on and turn the other 1/2 off. That should stop the doorbell &lt;br&gt; from working if it is on a breaker. Then replace the bell.

  I have seen circuit-board type retrofits for Studebaker Avantis &lt;br&gt; (notorious for dim, hard to see taillights even when everything is in &lt;br&gt; as-new shape) and they work really well. Unfortunately I have a &#39;55 &lt;br&gt; coupe which has the same issue but there is no ready-made retrofit kit. &lt;br&gt; I&#39;m thinking of perhaps taking some of the &amp;quot;truck-lite&amp;quot; oval taillights

Last time I checked (which was admittedly a &lt;br&gt; while ago) when replacing a 2-hole recep with a grounding type with no &lt;br&gt; available ground (which is essentially what I am doing,) you were &lt;br&gt; allowed to run a separate conductor to the &amp;quot;nearest point in the &lt;br&gt; grounding system&amp;quot; or such like.
