Subject: BA: SE K750i on Voda XNET 200 (12m) - min term cost £110!!!
This is the long awaited upgrade to the Sony Ericsson K700i and,
unbelieveably, it's on sale at One Stop Phone Shop on Vodafone CrossNet
200 for a minimu term cost of only £110 after cashback. By comparison,
it's predecessor was never this cheap on contract so this is a really
special offer - as such, I don't expect it to remain at this price for
very long.

The Sony K750i is essentially a Sony K700i with a 2 megapixel camera
with autofocus and flash and an uprated 262,000 colour screen. It also
supports Memory Stick Duo cards up to 2GB, allowing enough storage to
make the MP3 functionality worthwhile.

Retailer: One Stop Phone Shop
Handset: Nokia 6230i
Tariff: Vodafone CrossNet 200
Minimum Term: 12 months
Monthly Free minutes: 200
Free Minute Validity: cross-network, anytime
Monthly Free Texts: NIL
Monthly Line Rental: £30

Network Offers: 250 free texts per month for the first 6 months.

Retailer Cashback: £250.00
Cashback Schedule:
£83.33 after 4 months
£83.33 after 8 months
£83.33 after 12 months

MINIMUM TERM COST: £360 (before cashback), £100 (after cashback)
MONTHLY EQUIVALENT: £30 (before cashback), £9.17 (after cashback)

Many thanks for this, I've literally just called OSPS and changed my
6230i order to the K750i.  Unfortunately they could only do this by
cancelling my Internet order and placing a new one so you won't get the
affiliate benefit RM, sorry about that.  Thanks for the heads up all the
same though, stonking deal.

This is an excellent deal. Anyone know what One Stop Phone Shop are like
with cashbacks, ie do they pay on time, and what exactly do you have to do
to get the cashback?

Thanks

I heard the model for Vodaphone personal contracts is the silver branded
version, business/enterprise get the black unbranded one.
Not sure if thats true, OSPS shows black on their photo..

Just rang OSPS. They are black. But after a bit of checking they do
have them in silver too.

Personally I'd prefer the silver. It looks a bit weird in black.

Also the sales guy said that the phone is on a 30 day delivery for web
orders.

Don't know if he was just trying to get a sale by saying that.

The girl I spoke to at OSPS said their system was offering both the
silver and black versions, so I told her I wanted a black one.  Whether
their system is correct or not is another matter and it could well
transpire that only one type is available.  I'll report back here what I
get when it arrives, if it's a silver one then I'll query it but if they
say only the silver is available then that'll be fair enough really.
Can't complain at this price!

But does this play MP3 files as there is no mention of it on the Sony
Ericson site?
I know the K700i does, as I have one. Have to laugh at the quoted battery
life though!!

For anyone interested, received my K750i yesterday from OSPS and it is
unlocked and without any (obvious) Vodafone customisation.

For info, the offer has now increased in cost to 6 months at £2.99,
thereafter £30 per month. That's an increase in the first year cost of
nearly £78 over the original offer.
