Arrogant, little Gov. Elliot Spitzer (AKA Prince Elliot) has put the lid on the democrat hopes (with a little help from Tim Russert) for the presidency as well as many other offices. Already liberal democrats, like New York congressman Hall http://polhudson.lohudblogs.com/2007/11/07/hall-opposes-spitzer-licen... , are turning against his plan because they know their jobs are at stake next election.
Now all that is needed to put icing on the cake is for the rest of America to wake up to what kind of president Rudy "Amnesty City" Giuliani would make.

I don't think so. The same arrogant Spitzer was elected by a landslide. As long as voters think arrogance is beneficial they will vote for arrogant Democrats. All you need to do is look at the politics of cities in NY and elsewhere.
Perhaps some day enough people will understand that governing has become about money and privilege - taking it from some and giving it to themselves. http://www.capitaldistrict-lp.org/what.shtml Wasn't America supposed to be about voluntary agreement instead of forced obedience? http://www.ny.lp.org/choice

Voting for Spitzer was essentially an anti Pataki-Republican vote. Spitzer and the Dems in Congress ran on the peoples' platform and then stabbed their constituency in the back.

Hardly. Pataki was not running. You must know New Yorkers are overwhelmingly Democrats (most people live in cities) so they are usually anti-Republican.

Some of the constituencies must pay while others benefit. Isn't that is politics as usual? Perhaps some day enough people will understand that governing has become about money and privilege - taking it from some and giving it to themselves. http://www.capitaldistrict-lp.org/what.shtml

Considering Pataki was a republican and had been the governor since 1995, and Bloomberg was a republican and was re-elected for a second term, I think your theory that most NY'ers are democrats just went out the window.
