Daft comment of the week!
2000AD Prog 1662 review thread - Terror Tale " Actually, that last panel's bird's-eye view of London and the Thames is beautifully detailed." That's because it's a photo! LOL! scojo

Droid Life poster surprise!
Wahoo! I got a surprise Droid Life poster with my prog this week! Rebellion value us ol' long-term subscribers more than they like to let on -- and I, for one, am very grateful. (Price rise? Heck, they can take *all* my money after that free gift.)

Judge Dredd has lost its way
When you read the first page of this week's Tour of Duty, Dredd says "resignation is not the answer, a gesture, ultimately pointless, worse an evasion of responsibility" however this seems a rather baseless point of view because Dredd wanted to resign if the didn't get a vote on the mutant issue. Wagner's reached a point writing Dredd where he... more »

Price rise for 2000AD and JD Meg?
There's a post on the 2000AD forum about price rises for the two comics. I don't know how accurate the post is but the guy writes.... "I understand that the weekly will be rising to £2.16 for UK readers, not good, but I will continue to subscribe." £2.16? Hmm, that's quite a hike in price. It's currently £1.90. Not... more »

OT: The Prisoner
When the US remake was first announced it fell pretty heavily into "Oh, God. Why???" territory. A lot of people have had their fill of botched remakes, prequels, and reboots and this looked like a similar deal. I've crunched through this series and after getting my head around it being set in a desert, the 1950's style small town America theme, and an... more »

Shakara.... NO!
[said in style of ususal H. Enfield esq. pub discussion :) ] not the end surely... though very well portrayed with gradually dimming eyes, and tears in procopio's eyes... Great story.

OT: Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2
I really enjoyed CO4. It was the first game I liked and got drawn into for a long time. Played some of COD6 last night. It's got a similar look and feel but the story seemed a bit wild and it didn't hang together like the earlier game. Bit of a sequel syndrome thing going on there. Ran into the bit what Keith Vaz was railing against. The shopping mall... more »

OT Motörhead
Just back from the Motörhead Global Warming Tour in Belfast. Great night, hope I am rocking well past eleven when (if, more likely) I get to his age!

Last year or so
What ho, chaps. Due to some utter stupidity and bone-idleness, I've basically missed out on the last year of Tooth. (Long story short: I kept forgetting to pick up my regular order and I found out today that Forbidden Planet basically closed down my standing order and now it's empty.) So, firstly, anyone got the last 12 months of Tooth they want to get rid... more »

PROG 1661
It's a good issue. Some good letters, and the finales were great.
