Without more information from you, I can't tell you much more than
what the error message suggests--you're trying to target a location
within a country, and AdWords doesn't think it's valid.

SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle issue with API

Hi I have a problem when calling 'getAdGroupStats'. Most of time the
data requested is returned, however a number of times noting is
returned, no data at all.

I have noticed the following (please look at the differences
highlighted by <***>) - 2 examples are shown below, one where the
error occurs and 1 where is does not:

Hi,

While I am using the ad scheduling API, I got the error as "Cannot

Sorry, that was a terrible request. Playing around with adwords4r a
little more, I found that it works if I pass my ad in an array.
Either way, I figure it would be best to not send your users runtime
exceptions.

And, just so you know, this continues to be investigated. If it makes
anyone feel better, it's proving to be a rather mysterious issue (as
opposed to some more mundane bug).

From speaking to the client library's maintainer, my understanding is
that pyXML is being used by SOAPpy/ZSI to handle XML parsing in the
current release. He's aware that there are more modern libraries that
could handle the XML parsing, and will likely move to one of those in
a future release. (Of course, it's an open source library, so feel

the obvious reason for not to use it: the latest release is 2004, and
there the most recent compile-version for window only supporting
python2.4.

I am also curious if anyone is using the adwords python api right
now ...

Hello,

AdWords supports a limited form of keyword insertion that can replace
specific placeholders in a text ad with the keyword used to trigger
the ad. That sounds similar to what you're trying to do.

Report Center.
