I did a search here and it looks like many others have had this
problem as well. However, everyone got the same answer, and that was
not the problem.
So first off, let me make it clear that I DO understand the following:
An "Inactive" ad is an ad that has not received an impression within
the last 7 days.
The problem I have is in my AdSense Setup/Manage Ads tab, my "AdSense
for Search" shows as inactive. But I have had it used within the last
7 days, as well as received clicks and revenue. So why does it show as
inactive? It shows activity in my reports for "AdSense for Search".
I also use google analytics to track site search and visits to my
custom results page. I can see there have been search queries and
visits within the last 7 days.

HI
generally when it is not used for 7days it will show inactive, but it
is inactive means, see that if u have more than one search box, if it
is then one may show as active and another may be inactive.

Thanks for your clear explanation of the issue you are experiencing.
As you know, if no queries are made on your search box for 7 days, it
will appear as an inactive unit under 'Manage ads'. Therefore, you'll
need to choose 'Show inactive units' to find your search box settings.
Unfortunately, some publishers have noticed that although a search box
is active, it is appearing as an inactive unit under 'Manage ads'. Our
engineers are working to solve this issue. In the meantime, you can
click 'Show inactive units' in order to view your existing search
boxes. I will update this thread as soon as I have an update.

And you're right, it's more of an inconvenience than a serious
problem. I can still see and manage it if I check "Show inactive
units". Thanks for your reply, and now I know someone at AdSense knows
about the problem.

my search box ads shown as an inactive, although i am using it and it
is working.
another thing is that, i have included my logo in ti and it is
appearing fine in preview pan or sample, while setting up the ad, but
actual working does not show my logo in new google window search
results.
How to rectify this ???
