Yesterday I made some earnings from multiple clicks on different ads.
Today it is reporting that I now had less clicks and therefore earned
less yesterday. What's up with that?

Is this because of an after the fact audit that determines the clicks
didn't spend enough time on the target ad site or too many clicks from
one location or ?  I assumed the automated auditing would be
instantanenous or is something fishy going on?

That is usually the cause although adsense is known to report some
silly stats.
