I'm having the same problem. I have 64 bit Vista OS and I have
installed Media Encoder v9 x64 & have Windows Media player 11
installed. I have downloaded the New 64 bit (x64) VME (8.3 Mb)
program and I keep getting the error. I even tried installing the 32
bit versions and it still gave me the same error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Can I just check. When you install the x64 version of VME do you also have
installed the x64 version of Windows Media Encoder V9? Basically you need to
make sure that either both applications are x64 or x86. You cannot mix.

Hi,
Windows Media Encoder is uninstalled from the add remove / uninstall
features area like every other application. Are you sure you installed
Windows Media Encoder (a separate application available from Microsoft) and
not confusing it with Windows Media Player (comes with Windows)?

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. I have uninstalled VME but I am not sure how
to uninstall Windows Media Encoder.
I'm using Vista.
Thanks again.
