OK. Problem one is most likely caused by an invalid codec. I found that DivX
6 did not clear itself from memory and thus the codec crashed when reused a
second time unless I closed VME and reopened it again. However, this did not
give me a black screen, it would instead encode the first few seconds and
then stop or just not start at all.

Subject: VME will not decode a second time
Not sure if this is a problem with VME or my Linksys DMA2100.
I use VME to alllow me to play AVI files on the DMA2100 by watching
the stream as it is decoded.
I am always able to watch the first AVI I select but I can never watch
a second (usually just get a black screen). If I switch to live TV
then come back to VME, stop the existing stream and start the same AVI
again it is ok. Any way of overcoming this?
Another minor quirk is that most files seem to "stick" for a few
seconds within the first few minutes of starting. After a few seconds
it all resumes where it left off. This only happens once per file and
sometimes (5%) does not happen at all. We've got used to this but at
first it always started a panic as we had heaps of trouble getting
anything to work before trying (and purchasing) VME.
