Subject: SERVER 2008 UPDATE
Our 2 2008 servers got the following security updates and it looks
like after they were re-booted they might of take out Propalms. When I
click on the icon for one of the programs installed on the 2008 server
I get a warning screen that the application server cannot be found.
The updates were:
Kb961501
Kb968537
Kb969897
Kb969898
Kb970238

When you look at the console, it shows the servers as down, but I can
connect to them remotely. I could uninstall the updates, but I was
wondering if there was anything else it could be?

I should also note that just before I rebooted the application server,
any system that had the application from the new server had their
active window just deactivate while in the middle or working. When I
looked at the server it wanted to be re-booted to complete the
updates.

Since the reboot, this stopped from happening, but now we cannot
access the programs on the new servers.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Kris Clarke

Subject: Re: SERVER 2008 UPDATE
Kris,
I would suggest two things:
-One being that one of the updates was possibly be to RDP. I would try
to re-downloading the Propalms Connection Manager on the server.
-The other is to try and roll-back the updates one by one to see which
one messed up the server.

Let me know if the PCM re-install works, if not let me know which KB
messed up the server. As I would love to know which one it is, in case
I need to tell my customers. I can also do some testing on my side of
things. Sorry i would research the KB, but I do not have time. SORRY!

Let me know!
Thanks,
Brandon
