Subject: Speaking of compatability...
All,
I have a compability problem with Universe dealing with the HEADING
statement. I have a routine that uses the HEADING in a BASIC program.

Here is what Universe does in the HEADING statement, One of the
options is the 'N' to suppress the "Press any key to continue..."
message. This causes all items to display without user intervention.
Each page displays the heading on every page with the page number
incrementing.

I can't find the identical option on QM. There is an 'N' option, but
the headings doesnt' display on all pages. All the data scrolls to the
end.

Is there a compatible option in QM? I would hate to replace the
HEADING statement with BASIC code.

Thanks,
Peter G.

Hi Peter,

The N option says "do not paginate" but it probably should still be
displaying the heading on every page. Today is a holiday in the UK but I
will make sure that we look at this tomorrow.

Thank you guys for a quick response on a holiday.

Martin,
I use this option on Universe to screen capture a report and send it
to a network printer using Accuterm scripts. As you can imagine having
a header on the first page only is not very user friendly.

Thanks for looking into this.

Hello Martin,
I read the new posting of QM 2.9. I didn't see the 'N' option in the
"what's new". Is it realy not there?

Thanks,
Peter G.

The N option was always there - it just didn't work. It is listed in the bug
fixes in the readme file.

Hello Martin,
I finally installed version 2-9-3 on windows. I see that the 'N'
option is now working with LIST and SORT. But it is still displaying
the first header when using HEADING in a BASIC program. Is this a
quick mod on your part?

Thanks,
-Peter

My previous mesage was not descriptive enough, so..

It is displaying ONLY the first header page. All the other pages don't
display header information.

thanks,

Hi Peter,

It looks as though we got this sorted for the query processor but overlooked
handling of pagination in Basic programs.

We will look into this for the next build.
