Subject: Re: configure bluetooth GPS
I got my Holux GPSlim 240 to work with Google Maps for Mobile (WM5)
but I don't know why it does. I have a T-Mobile MDA that is an HTC phone running Windows Mobile Here's what I did. 1. I followed the instructions on the link below to unhide the GPS http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2006/06/07/620387.aspx 2. Deleted the key that said Redirect even though it had no value as 3. I got my Holux connected via bluetooth screen and set the device to 4. I opened the GPS app in the settings/system tab. 5. I set the GPS Program port to COM2 6. I set the GPS Hardware Port to COM6 the same as I used to link the 7. I set the the Buad Rate to 33600 on the Hardware tab of the GPS 8. I tried to use the viewer that came with the Holux but it would not 9. I then tried Google Maps and, I could not believe it, it works So, Google Maps for Mobile is really cool now. I have Traffic and GPS Maybe someone can tell us why this works. Pinball2K . On Feb 10, 3:07 pm, "[email address]" wrote: > I have a T-Mobile MDA and am tryng to get my Holux GPSlim 240 to
