Same problem here.
Motorola L7 (Cingular/AT&T branding)
I also used the native browser.
It installed fine when I downloaded it about a year or so ago, but
this link only says "visit now." This is rather frustrating, to be
honest.

yes the gps on the storm is unlocked. i think verizon has realized
that people will go where they can get apps that work and that are
free. money is the most powerful

I have the same problem, and I am using my phone's native browser. My
phone is a Samsung A900m (Sprint model, if that matters). I actually
have a previous version of Google Maps already installed - I installed
it a long time ago (1.5 years ago, maybe), so I wanted to upgrade to
see if I could take advantage of new features. What other information

You're right, it does depend on the carriers. However, the GPS on the
storm is unlocked (unlike all of verizons other blackberrys) so 3rd
party GPS apps WILL work on it

One aspect you should consider is from the Verizon side. I don't
think you can blame Google for the lack of GPS on Blackberries. It
works on Blackberries on any other network besides Verizon. I set
someone up on it who uses AT&T on an 8830 and he had accuracy within

I ahve an LG Renoir but can't download Google Maps. The phone is GPS
enabled and my network have said there is no problem - it must be a

Hi!

same issue here with my Sony Ericsson K610i and GMM v.2.3.2: no way to
connect to an external GPS puck via Bluetooth ... :(

Anyone (spec. Google people) any idea ?!

I just recently upgraded to OS 4.5 with BIS Verizon Wireless
(v4.5.0.77, platform 3.2.0.51). It installs fine, but when I try and
launch GMM it crashes after about 1/4 of the loading bar. I have
deleted and reinstalled GMM twice and the problem still presists.
Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this?
