Dear List:
Eighteen months ago, Jim Patterson emailed me and very kindly offered to set up a website for me. I was ecstatic!!
Since September of 2006, the website www.pitmen.co.uk has had a successful run in it's very active forum.
However, it has been over a year since I last had any correspondence from Jim -- emails I have sent to various addresses have not been returned, nor have they bounced back. I have lost count of how many I sent.
Being that he is webmaster, any additions, and changes to the homepage (which are grossly outdated), as well as complications with forum activity are non-existent. The site is not registered to me, I have no password access to the "guts", or website knowledge on "how to".
Basically, all my hard work, that of the forum members, and over 3,657 posts are at risk, not knowing about it's future it would be silly for me to continue to promote.
I am heartbroken to announce, that I will no longer carry on with Pitmen.co.uk.
I thank Jim for the time he did spend getting the website off the ground. I hope wherever he is in the world, he is doing well.
Perhaps once I take some courses, and understand the workings of a website I will start over, my terms, my way.
