FATAL ACCIDENT. – An Inquest was held at Beerpot, in the parish of
Camerton, on the 10th inst., upon the body of JOHN WHITFIELD, aged 57,
who was accidentally killed on the 8th inst. The deceased had been
beating old iron with a large iron ball, which was lifted by a block
and tackle, when the rope gave way and he got his fight leg fractured
and his body very much bruised. He died from the effect of the
injuries he received. Verdict – “Accidental death.”

I have recently transcribed a very lengthy piece for my own Family History purposes, and would like to post it here.
But it is so lengthy that I am unsure how to post it. The Transcription became an 8 page word document!! It does have some natural breaks, as it is made up of a few articles, but I still think that 2 of the articles will still be too big.
Any advise or tips on content size gratefully received.

8 pages in Word would probably be ok on this list. I think the system gets indigestion with anything above 1 MB in size. You must remember, people post images on this list which have a much bigger size than a simple Word document.
You can always break it down into a succession of emails, but I don't think in this case the size will be a problem either way.
