I think its a wheelie good IDEA, but that's about all.
RE S Ingrams problem of the boxes... blimey i thought 1 bin was bordering on overkill, now we have 3 and mr ingraham wants more? besides, separating cardboard from metal is not a time consuming process. surely moving a bin every week or two isn't going to hurt anyone, even if it is thirty yards and *drum roll* a step. if it is send me an e mail and ill do it for you.
However, this whole recycling thing is a bit of a waste of time in view of the industrial revolution in China and the ignorance of fat Americans who refuse to drive smaller cars or strive to cut carbon emissions - we are 'weeing in the wind', if you please.
Ok i work in Colne and live on the Green. On my way to work i see that the people in Colne putting out one "Box" for cans and bottles a bag for news papers and bag for green waster and a bag for no recyclables. These are smaller than the bins we have at the moment and also it will save money as Ribble Valley will not have to pay to have the waste sorted. I already recycle all of our house holds waste to the local tip apart from the unrecyclable stuff.
I will email you later with the location of our bins and thanks for the offer. Is your offer open to the rest of the green or just restricted to me? I thought you where at University anyway so are you going to drive back every Sunday night?
One other good think is that the new bins will stop the bags being ripped apart by foxes and cats on Sunday night.
I feel we have to do our bit because it is irresponsible not to. I agree that the Americans should respect and sign up to the Kyoto agreement.

Haha the chances of RTHaworth doing any more physical labour than absolutely necessary... are... well somewhat similar to the chances of Dubya the halfwit signing up to the Kyoto agreement, closing and apologising for Guantanamo, and passing legislation banning cars with engines larger than 3L in the US.
Also, Richard WISHES he was still a student, but graduated 2 years ago. A classic example of the tragic breakdown of communication in the community following the loss of our village pub :)
