"depart from me, ye that work iniquity" because they embraced trinity?
I read this interesting take on Matt 7:23 by a sister in another forum
and i wanted to share it with you
Matt 7:21-24
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in
thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done
many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye
that work iniquity.
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I
will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
why would Jesus (pbuh) denounce them?...could it be because they
worshipped him which is against the will of the heavenly father?
And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say
unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah'?" He
will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to
say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou
knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou
knowest in full all that is hidden.
"Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say,
to wit, 'worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord'; and I was a witness
over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou
wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things.
