Subject: Fwd: Cricket Umpires & Scorers Newsletter Relaunched

Dear Google Group Member
We are trying to sort out the circulation lists.
If you have already received this email directly, then you need do nothing
except delete this one.
If you have NOT seen it before, then you need to email
subscr...@acumenbooks.co.uk - sorry I have not been clever enough to put an
automatic link in here.
Colin

* *Welcome to our relaunched newsletter for Cricket Umpires & Scorers*
*EDITED BY: Colin Pearson* [image: Acumen Books Logo]
 *Acumen Books
is still alive and well BUT
our despatch department will be taking a well earned holiday in the next few
days - we will not give exact dates as this may attract burglars although we
do have a very active Neighbourhood Watch!*
 DearCricket Official

Whilst we are away, why not visit our very lively
*Nompere Discussion Board <http://dmtrk.com/7EC-15XT-PW6IY-AUZ0-1/c.aspx>*
for the latest contributions (and add your own!), such as:

 *
*** **Working as a team
* LBW - basics* * You are the Umpire by John Holder
 * Net practice for incoming batsmen

You can find the latest NOTCHERS newsletter (#5) for *scorers* at
*Google Group for Cricket
Officials<http://dmtrk.com/7EC-15XT-PW6IY-AUZA-1/c.aspx>
*

You can download an electronic copy of the MCC Laws and Open Learning Manual
FREE
or buy a copy on a USB stick shaped like a bat from *
Lords Shop for Electronic Laws
etc<http://dmtrk.com/7EC-15XT-PW6IY-AUYY-1/c.aspx>
*
Please mention Acumen if you have the opportunity
Future editions of this newsletter will contain more news (and, hopefully,
in a better format) including items from Acumen Books - everything for
Cricket Umpires and Scorers - including news of developments in gauges and
counters in the next edition and even a revamp of our own website next
month.  If you really insist, you can visit our tatty old one in the
meanwhile! <http://dmtrk.com/7EC-15XT-PW6IY-AZ3X-1/c.aspx>   You could not
tell I am a professional computer consultant - remember the old adage about
Doctors' children?

*You can visit our e-commerce
website<http://dmtrk.com/7EC-15XT-PW6IY-B3K7-1/c.aspx>
* and place an order with credit card BUT the only thing you will receive
immediately is the electronic download of the Duckworth Lewis Guide to
resetting one day targets - most useful in some games at the present time.

You can also get any or all of the three series of Revision Questions direct
from *Donald Kirkby <donald.kirk...@ntlworld.co.uk>*

We have compiled this circulation from several previous lists in an attempt
to tidy them up.  We rarely send this newsletter out more than once per
month but it does go to over 2,000 email addresses so it is difficult for me
to monitor them individually. I apologise if you have received this in error
then please unsubscribe from Google Groups.  If you like the idea, *please
forward it to your friends*
<http://dmtrk.com/7EC-15XT-F5PW6IY4B-1/fw.aspx?campaignkw=boy-friend>and
suggest they subscribe and/or *add this link to your social
network<http://dmtrk.com/7EC-15XT-F5PW6IY4B-1/fw.aspxFORWARD?campaignkw=social>
* (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc). Any problems

In case you did not know, Tom Smith is being reprinted and not currently
scheduled before December 2009.  We are lobbying the publishers to bring
this forward to meet the demand by Autumn courses.  I cannot find any copies
left anywhere - please let me know if you find any spares!  Meanwhile, we
can supply John Holder's "You are the Umpire" - when we return from USA -
where I am meeting with Colorado Umpires!
