Subject: Acumen News #119 VOTE NOW + January Courses

Have you cast your vote on the formation of ECBACO to replace ACU&S?  If
not, please do so immediately as it is important that such a momentous
decision, one way or the other, is seen to be the view of the majority of
members and not just a few activists.  If you have not yet made up your
mind, then why not visit the discussion boards at
http://nompere.proboards37.com and
http://www.acus.org.uk/memberslogin.aspwhere several questions have
been posed and views expressed.

Want some training, whether first time or refresher, whey not visit
http://www.acus.org.uk/coursessel.asp where you can find details of some 198
ACU&S courses many of which will start in January or February.  We have been
asked to make special mention of

North Staffordshire, run by precision...@yahoo.co.uk

Sheffield – contact cyril.vick...@btinternet.com

North London contact normanfreeman...@aol.com

Farnham, Surrey – ring 01428 714473
Flitwick, Bedfordfordshire john.gur...@midbeds.gov.uk

Details of ECBOA contacts can be found at
http://static.ecb.co.uk/files/ecb-oa-courses-principal-contacts-2184.xls but
it is uncertain how many courses will be run this winter as ECBACO
Instructor training is not scheduled until January.

Apologies if I have overlooked previous material – please send again to be
on the safe side!  If you would like me to mention your course in the
January newsletter, please send details to bulle...@acumenbooks.co.uk – and
the same address for any other news.

If you require copies of Tom Smiths or MCC Law Books for courses starting in
January, please place your provisional orders before Monday 17th December as
there is often an end of year hiatus with stock taking at our wholesalers.  We
shall probably despatch these parcels on Monday 7th January unless you
advise us of a different requirement.  This will give you time to change
your exact quantities at the last minute.

Can I also take this opportunity to remind you of the Kirkby Revision
Question booklets – 3 in the series £4.50 each or set of 3 for £13.00 post
free cheque with order – special offer until 6th January. "Over & Out";
"Wicket is Down" and "Bails & No Ball".

Thanks to those of you who told me about the Laws being translated into
German.  Do you know of any other languages into which the 2003 Laws have
been translated?

If your groundsman would like details of relevant courses, pleas contact
ch...@pitchcare.com.

Finally may I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Productive Training Season?

Colin Pearson

PS We may be conducting an audit shortly to ensure that you have received
this copy safely.  I would be grateful if you can reply to THAT email by way
of confirmation – not this one.
